I just finished crocheting this sweet little mohair neckwarmer. The mohair has beautiful colors of rust, mocha and gold with flecks of fuschia in it so I added some vintage 80's heart buttons (one fuschia and the other gold with plaid).

Reminds me of Blondie........

Welcome to the Doll House

For the holidays, my mom broke out my old Lundby doll house for C to play with. I loved this doll house when I was little. It had everything, real lamps and lights that plugged in the wall sockets, even a record player (because back then there were no cd's!).

I wonder why doll houses haven't evolved into ones like the one (top) which is an old design by Doug Michels (famed Cadillac Ranch guy). It's so groovy and I wish I could find one like it.

Ding dong! The UPS guy dropped off the package of stocking stuffers I ordered from Fred Flare and I couldn't resist getting something for myself as well :) Am loving my cute double studded headband. Michelle Verbeeck makes them too, single bands in gorgeous fall colors. Which to choose....orange or green?

The Beat

This is what I've been listening to lately. Um, yup, that's right.....1980 and it still ROCKS. Powerpop is like sweet candy to my ears right now. The first week we moved out here (LA), Steve went to see The Nerves and Avengers (love, love that girl) and brought back a Nerves and Paul Collins' Beat cd. It seems I know most of the songs from somewhere in my childhood past...is that possible? I guess this must be my 2nd childhood. Now to find some pink skinny jeans.......
