mobill traylor


bill traylor (1939-1947)= a self taught alabama artist who painted on cardboard. born into slavery in 1854 on a plantation near montgomery, traylor began making art at the age of 82. his works are flat, simple, vibrant, expressive and full of folk stories.
this 'mobill traylor' was created for, and will be available to purchase at the menil collection bookstore in houston, texas.

thank you annamaria and mendruga. yes, i knew of bill traylor, but didn't really know his works until making this. i learned alot and d that i love the works of bill traylor!!! i wish i owned an original :)
