moonbeam

last night was a full moon. i watched devastating pictures of  hurricane sandy my friends posted from the east coast.
the night air was calm and still in california.
i worked on this custom mobile outside on the back porch (my other studio :) with the radio playing this l.a. local band's song
it's nice to see how it turned out now in the morning light:
w/ cloud+moon, bluebird, canoe, horse and teepee
it's also nice to see this picture of a rainbow over nyc

Lovely one Kim! LOVE the canoe. Truly horrified to hear and see the devastation caused by the hurricane. We're no strangers to natural disasters here either, but I can only imagine how horrific it would be to witness that destruction. Hopefully your mobile-making was a bit therapeutic.

saskia, yes, terrible destruction. soon, i will show you a glimpse of what i'm working now... a mobile for a baby girl who was actually born in nyc in a darkened hospital in the hurricane! she is a strong one. once again, new york will be on my mind all week.. worried of what's to come for my dear friends there
