nyc thoughts

i'm wearing my 'big apple' socks this morning and thinking of these images of the l.e.s.... my old stomping grounds. i lived 2 blocks away on 9th and a and have dear friends who have been displaced. i worry about another big storm coming through this week......
my thoughts are with you, nyc.
something i'm working on for a special little girl who was born in a blacked-out hospital in new york during hurricane sandy: a mobile w the eye of the storm (still very much a work in progress)
i hope you'll come back soon to see the finished mobile with colors and floating objects................. gas canister, flashlight, uprooted tree, toppled car....

This looks gorgeous Kim. Can't wait to see the finished product! That baby had a momentous introduction to the world. Your mobile is a lovely tribute to her (and her family's) strength.
