Just wanted to share some special orders I did over the week-end. This sweet little wedding hankie will be sent as a gift to the Mum of a betrothed one in England. It was the brilliant idea of Lauren, owner of Florence Blue . Visit her blog here. These natural, unbleached linen mopines will go to the owner of this wonderful organic baby shop: Babybe
This is my first mobile of homes: a teepee, an igloo, an A-frame, a log cabin and a geodesic dome. All places I'd love to stay for a getaway! It's in the shop now.
There have been a few customer requests and I am working on a couple more for the shop.... as fast as my little hands will go. Hope to have them up in the shop within a week, in time to Mail them out (for your Mama).
When life gives you lemons and you're stuck inside on a rainy day.......
slice those lemons, grab some old magazines and brown bags,
cut into strips and get to work.
Weave away that rainy day.
Keep weaving until you have enough to make a beautiful, eco- friendly table setting. A fast drying, water- based matte varnish (mod podge) will help to keep it stiff and sturdy for use. Trader Joes bags are also really sturdy and work great for the edges.
My mother's old Jul Bok was sitting in the garage with its dusty red ribbon, so I decided to spruce it up for a fresh new look for the season. With a bright turquoise ribbon she now sits pretty but is no longer a Jul Bok....
She is a Spring Bok.
I can imagine her decorated with pink paper flowers and maybe some colored eggs hanging from her horns for Easter. That's something I will work on. But for now, she needs a partner. Since I don't have a male, I made this bearded illustrated version for her.
