happy birthday to sid my kid 3 of 3. his birthday marks 9 years of making mobiles! when he was born, i wanted to make a mobile for him. we had moved 4 or 5 times that year (from east coast to west cast) and the only things i could find unpacked around the apartment were newspapers and cardboard boxes. i made him a mobile of little houses with paper mache that i hung from a branch with an igloo, teepee, airstream, yurt, and a frame. i loved this mobile so much that i made another, put it on my jikits blog and etsy and it sold immediately. then it was featured on design sponge! sid was only one month old when we moved and i never stopped making. he's my golden boy leo sign also born on mick jagger's birthday:)
