My Vegan Sushi
Here it is! A picture of the vegan sushi I made from this post punk kitchen clip I keep raving about. It turned out very tasty and was easy to make although I didn't have the proper sushi rice. Unfortunately, where I live, there is not an Asian market nearby. Still, I was able to get the rice sticky enough to make it work. I just boiled it for 2 minutes before setting it on simmer and when it was done, I uncovered the lid and set a cloth on top for 10 minutes. The recipe called for 4 cups of rice which actually was the perfect amount for 20 nori (seaweed wrappers). But, I must admit, after wrapping 10, I had to take a break and resume early the next morning for 10 more. It was nice to have sushi rolls to snack on all throughout the day and night!
